Dr Ed Mascioli joined the board of directors of Oxagen in 2005. He specializes in investments in biopharmaceutical therapeutics companies and is currently an Executive Partner at MPM Capital’s Boston office. Prior to joining MPM, Ed was a Senior Medical Director at Parexel, an international clinical research organization before which he was on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and on the staff of the Deaconess Hospital in Boston. His research in lipid metabolism was initially funded by a New Investigator Research Award from the National Institutes of Health. While at MPM, Dr. Mascioli has served or is serving on the Boards of Arriva Pharmaceuticals, CGI Pharmaceuticals, Elixir, Mindset and Radius Health.

Ed holds two licensed patents for marketed products, has received the Baxter Healthcare Corporation Award, and has authored several dozen scientific publications. He holds an MS from MIT, an MD from the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and a BA from Brandeis University.
